BBC iPlayer Global for iPad now supports AirPlay streaming

The BBC have updated their global iPlayer App for iPad to version 1.2.5 and finally included AirPlay streaming, allowing you to stream your favourite BBC shows from your iPad to your Apple TV or other compatible Airplay system.

BBC brings AirPlayer to iPlayer Global iPad app

BBC iPlayer Global app for iPad users allows users in UK, Austria, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Republic of Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Switzerland to catch up with their BBC shows directly from their iPad. To activate the AirPlay feature in the iPlayer app you also need to have downloaded iOS 5 on your iPad.

For those that don’t have the chance to stream video to their tv, but have an AirPlay compatible AirPlay speaker, you can still stream the sound to your speakers while watching the show on your iPad.

Now if only we could start getting some tv sets with Airplay integrated that would be great.
