Apple iPhone media event on 4th October is now official as invites have gone out

Finally we have some official information from Apple in regards to the future, in the form of invites going out to the press for the media event on the 4th October, and the strapline is “let’s talk iPhone”.

Apple iPhone event official

The latest rumors around the event has been correct on the date and the location, as the event will take place on Apple Campus in Cupertino, California. Other than that there is no further information as to what the event will entail. We know it will be mostly about the iPhone, but we don’t know if we are talking iPhone 5 or iPhone 4s. Throw the iOS 5 release into the bag and there are many possible options behind the strapline.

What the “let’s talk iPhone” theme means for the iPod, and especially an iPod Touch 5, is still unknown. It is however a clear indication that this year the iPod will be taking a backseat in the Apple evolution.

Although not invited to the event, i will be right here covering all the news and information from the event as it takes place from 10am Pacific Time, or 6pm UK time.
