It seems that China is a hotspot for Apple iPad rumours these days, with the recent coverage of 7-inch Apple iPad rumoured to be completed, and now website Patently Apple have revealed schematics showing potential new features for the 2nd generation Apple iPad 2.

At the moment these new features are unconfirmed but the schematics illustrate a 2nd dock connector to allow for docking the Apple iPad in portrait mode, and a feature that they refer to as ‘smartbezel’. This is the third time that this feature appears in an Apple patent, and always in the left bottom corner.
No one is quite sure what the ‘smartbezel’ feature actually is, but speculations are that it is aligned with another Apple patent that uses technology that will allow a device to recognize who you are simply from the way you hold the device, potentially allowing for customized features and settings of a device based on who is holding it.

What do you think the new feature for the Apple iPad 2 could be?
