It is AirPlay galore in Las Vegas these days, and the latest to join the race is Panasonic, which has brought with them two AirPlay enabled sound systems in the SC-AP01 Soundbar and the SC-HC57 compact sound system.
The Panasonic AirPlay Soundbar has sleek lines and a stylish black finish. Its design might not stand out with a unique design, but it is very functional in terms of fitting in with so many home entertainment solutions, not to mention with other Panasonic AV products. Besides AirPlay streaming, the system features Aero Stream port for enhanced bass and Direct Vocal Surround for what they describe as a “music hall-like listening experience”. Charging your iOS device can also be done using the USB port connection.
Panasonic SC-HC57 is a more classic looking compact home stereo system, not unlike other solutions we have seen from amongst other Panasonic before. It is finished in high quality metal net, with a solid sliding door that opens up to reveal the docking station that automatically comes out ready for you to dock your device. Besides AirPlay and the physical docking station, the system also have built in CD player, FM radio, and offers Internet Radio through the associated vTuner app. In the sound department you find lightweight, nanosized bamboo cone speakers.
Both the Panasonic SC-AP01 Soundbar and SC-HC57 compact sound system is expected out in April this year. I will be back with more details on each system and prices as soon as available.
