The primary focus of this event is almost certain to be about the next iPads. Trying to read something into the invite there could be quite a few announcements made on the day, besides the iPad news. Those announcements could include new Macbook Pros, the Mac Pro, the OS X 10.9 Mavericks, and perhaps there’s even some news around the Apple Tv and an Apple smartwatch.

As for the new iPads, expect to see an iPad 5 with design inspiration from the iPad Mini, adopting the color options of the iPhone 5S, and with the fingerprint sensor. As for the iPad Mini 2, expect all of the above, and perhaps more importantly, a Retina display. Either way, it will all be revealed on the 22nd October.
