Amazon UK launches iPhone optimized MP3 store

While our friends across the pond has had the optimized Amazon MP3 store for iPhone and iPod Touch, we have had to wait, that is until now. Amazon UK has now launched the newly optimized MP3 store for iPhone owners in the UK.

The new optimized Amazon MP3 store for iPhone

I’m sure most iPhone and iPod Touch owners are still relying on iTunes for the majority of their music download and music enjoyment on their device, we always welcome alternatives that can help bring competition, and ultimately lower prices for us as consumers. I have personally been using the Amazon MP3 store alongside iTunes, as they often run some great offers on a weekly basis. Plus, its another free online storage space for your music library.

With the new and optimized Amazon MP3 experience for iPhone and iPod Touch owners, you can now access the store from your Safari browser, browse their vast library of 25 millions songs and 2 million albums, buy the songs/albums that you like with the usual Amazon ease-of-use shopping experience, and stream or download the content right there on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The new store also gives you access to personal recommendations (once you have logged in), bestseller lists, customer ratings, and more.

Download the Amazon Cloud Player app, and you will have immediate access to your purchased digital songs and albums, allowing you to either stream through the app, or download the songs onto your device for offline listening.
