Amazon MP3 international rollout to start this year

According to iLounge.com, Amazon has revealed that they will be taking their MP3 offer internationally in 2008. No exact dates have been set for the different countries yet, but we will keep you posted.

Amazon’s DRM free MP3 digital music store should become a serious competitor for iTunes and others as they will bring music from all the four major record labels DRM-free. This means that the music will play on virtually any MP3 device in good quality at a low cost. Given the customer base of Amazon around the world it will make them a very serious competitor to the existing services, including Apple iTunes.

We will keep you posted for any developments.
