4COOL 2398 Micro portable speaker dock: affordable and portable

A lot of people have already discovered the 4COOL 2398 micro speaker dock on Ebay, and at this price it is a good bargain for an entry level small portable speaker dock to take to the park or for your kids to have in their room.

4COOL 2398 Micro speaker dock for iPod and iPhoneThe small and tubular design in solid aluminum with a gloss finish (available in pink, silver, purple and black) features a centrally placed docking station that takes most iPods and iPhones and touch sensitive volume up and down buttons at the side of the docking station itself. It also comes with a small remote that allows you to control the music and volume, so you don’t have to fiddle with your iPod/iPhone while docked, or use the touch buttons on the speaker dock itself. As mentioned this is a portable micro speaker dock, so you can run it either on mains power or use four AA batteries for when you take it on the road.

The drivers are situated at each end of the tube producing a total of 5.4W, or 2.74W per channel, and the 4COOL 2398 micro speaker dock does provide a decent punch for its size and price class. Having spent a good few hours listening to music from it with my iPhone docked, it takes better to mainstream pop compared to rock and hiphop, as with most systems at this price it tends to go a bit sharp at the edges.

For the more avid music fan and for listening to at home over long periods, this is not the speaker dock for you, and i wouldn’t expect it to be either at this price range. In my opinion this is primarily an entry level portable speaker dock for children to play with, or for taking to the park/on holiday etc. where emphasis is less on high quality sound reproduction. It is definitely among the better micro portable speaker docks i have listened to, and for its price and purpose among the best in its class.
